Becca Bernstein

Becca Bernstein began her marketing career in Boston, MA working for a small pharmaceutical publishing company. There she was responsible for opening an inside-sales department along with creating and managing all external communications, including print and tradeshow marketing.

With a portfolio in hand, Becca took a job at Wray Ward (WW), one of the largest and most respected agencies in the Southeast. One of two teams, Becca got her fair share of work assisting companies develop their brand voices. After WW, Corder Philips hired Becca in the role of copywriter.

From there, Becca went in-house (because of her passion for the game of poker) and became the Brand Manager for PokerTek, a company that engineers and markets electronic poker tables. Becca was responsible for developing the brand, all print, tradeshow and virtual marketing. Since PokerTek was a start-up, Becca pitched in on all public relations efforts. Under her leadership, the CEO was listed as one of the Top 25 People to Watch in the gaming industry and the PokerPro electronic poker table won First Place in Casino Journal’s Most Innovative Gaming Technology Product for 2005.

Additionally, Becca built an online community geared toward poker players to help increase the player adoption rate. Through this community, Becca cultivated a group of brand-loyal bloggers that consistently promoted the PokerTek product line on their blogs. Their coverage earned the company over $300,000 worth of free press. After PokerTek, Becca took on the role of Senior Copywriter at HMH Advertising. But her role extended past writing. She also fulfilled the following positions: Assistant Creative Director, Interim Project Manager (for which she won an internal award) and also joined forces with Mark Conachan to lead new business activities.

Becca currently works for herself assisting companies with social marketing strategies, public relations, market researching and branding.
